When it comes to podcasts, I am a victim of my own mismanaged expectations. It's just that if I’m going to commit to a conversation I can’t be part of, some sort of beneficial takeaway (if not full-on revelation) is required—and I’m too often left in crushing disappointment at time ill-spent. It renders me with nothing to offer when the “what should we listen to” question comes up on a long car trip, leaving me 100% vulnerable to the Podcast Preferences of Others. And this is how I accidentally got hooked on…
